Stand up for critical affordable housing funding by opposing HB 111

HB 111: Community Reinvestment Agency Modifications by Rep. Kim Coleman (R-West Jordan) removes the housing allocation requirement for certain community reinvestment project areas. The proposed amendment aims to re-introduce Economic Development Areas and would effectively eliminate the requirement for affordable housing funds. With a severe shortage in affordable housing already causing high rates of homelessness and housing insecurity in Utah, it is critical to ask legislators to oppose HB 111 for eliminating funding for affordable housing.

HB 111 will get a public hearing in theHouse Revenue and Taxation Committee TODAY AT 2:00P. We need your help to make the committee members aware of the issue and how it affects housing people can afford in the future.

Email the members of the House committee and ask them to vote NO on HB 111 THIS MORNING!
