Action Utah is seeking Regional Captains!
Are you in Logan, Moab, Provo, Ogden, Green River, White Mesa, Salina or anywhere in between? Are you willing to rally a small group of people around you to take action? Then Action Utah needs you! This is your chance to make a difference at a local, state and national level. Contact us to start making an impact today!
Action Utah’s mission is to mobilize ordinary citizens across the state to take actions that impact meaningful change in Utah and at the national level. It is our theory that a majority of Utahns — people from both sides of the aisle — share similar beliefs on a number of important issues. We exist to bring a voice to the middle, to resist extremist agendas, to build bridges and to make change. But we need your help!
When it comes to community activism in Utah, the more voices we can get speaking up, the louder we are. However, we also understand that 10 voices in Mexican Hat can sometimes speak as loudly as 1,000 voices in Salt Lake City.
Citizen activists from across the state have an important role to play in impacting change at the state and national level.
Action Utah is seeking brave members from all legislative districts to help us raise a collective, diverse voice and show our politicians that we can come together to impact change.
Many people outside of the state capitol have told us they are feeling helpless and far away from the action. But at Action Utah we believe you are actually the most powerful players in the state. You can play a key role in our action strategies by speaking out from unexpected places, utilizing your local media to draw attention to your opinions and joining with other regional Action Utah groups across the state in a united front on issues that matter to a majority of us.
Regional Captains will fulfill two roles
- Rally small groups of friends and neighbors to take actions that impact change, such as calling legislators and writing letters to editors
- Report local political issues in your home town, such as health policy proposals, land use proposals and extremist political agendas, and request backup from Action Utah leadership to mobilize members around the state to publicize, support or block local political actions
