Action Utah’s July Interim Session Tour of the State Capitol will introduce you to Capitol Hill and our state legislative branch and engage you to our monthly Spotlight Discussion.
Join Action Utah leaders and members at the “People’s House” during Interim on Wednesday, July 18th, to learn about the legislative process, our state legislators and how YOU can make a difference in the state policy issues that impact you and your community. No experience necessary!
– Take a tour of the Capitol Campus
-Learn how YOU can make an impact at the Capitol or from home
– Have the opportunity to attend public committee meetings before or after (meetings run from 8:30a-4:15p)
This month, our Spotlight Discussion will focus on two current healthcare issues. Talk with Action Utah leaders and guests Rylee Curtis and Rep. Steve Eliason about:
– What’s up with Medicaid Expansion? (Prop 3 vs. HB472)
– What are legislators doing to reduce suicides in Utah?
