Utah is notorious for its lack of representation by women in politics. But we can change that by getting girls involved in civic engagement from an early age. Civic engagement helps strengthen our democracy, build more balanced and representative government and lead to participation in government and advocacy positions.
The Utah Women & Leadership Project has developed a list of resources to help families get their girls engaged via cool state and national opportunities like:
- Camp Congress
- Girls in Politics
- American Legion Girls State Program
- Teach a Girl to Lead
