Voter registration and turnout were up in the 2018 midterm elections. Bravo to those of you who worked hard to make sure your friends and neighbors were registered and got out to vote!

Now that you’ve had a few days to rest and reflect, may we present a new challenge to you?

The issue:

  • In 1980, Utah ranked 5th in overall voter turnout. In 2016, Utah ranked a dismal 39th.
  • According to Nov. 2016 U.S. Census data, there are 288,000 women in Utah who are citizens but unregistered to vote.

Introducing… the Voterise 2020 Challenge

The Voterise 2020 Challenge is a 3-year initiative commemorating the upcoming centennial anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote in August, 1920. The goal of the Voterise 2020 Challenge is to recruit 1,000 women to each register 20 others and encourage them to do the same.
