And with municipal elections and party office elections coming up this year, there’s no better time than now to learn about running for office or give your campaign an extra boost.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Think about running for office in 2019. Candidates may register for the 2019 municipal elections between June 2 and June 7, 2019. Look for candidate filing requirements and deadline updates on the Lt. Governor’s Elections website. Check in with your political party about party office elections and convention dates.

Join us the evening before the Winter Training for a conversation about the challenges and opportunities that women of color, LGBTQ, and other marginalized groups face as candidates and in office and other civic leadership roles. With keynote speaker, Delia Garcia, former Kansas State Representative and Chief Leadership Officer of ReflectUS.
Saturday, January 19, 2019, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, SLCC Miller Campus, Sandy, UT. The full-day training will feature workshops for everyone: current candidates and campaign managers, future candidates looking for information on where to start, and women who want to get more involved in public service. With keynote speaker, Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti of Illinois.
