A 2017 Department of Workforce Services report on early care and learning services concluded that state agencies could be doing a better job coordinating their work and resources when it comes to how they serve families with young children.
HB 47 Early Childhood Coordination Amendments creates and Early Childhood Utah Advisory Council within the Department of Health as well as the Early Childhood Commission housed within the Governor’s office. These groups would be responsible for facilitating coordination between early childhood programs and would focus on making services more accessible for Utah families.
