Utah Women’s Policy Conference (by the YWCA) – August 15th and 16th at the JADEN Event Center at Trolly Square (Formerly the Falls Event Center) in Salt Lake City. If you seek policy solutions to complex issues affecting Utah women and their families, YWCA Utah’s second annual Utah Women’s Policy Conference is for you. The Utah Women’s Policy Conference is an opportunity to elevate the conversation around critical issues, develop shared understanding, and explore lasting and inclusive change for women, girls, and families in Utah.
Housing Matters Conference (Utah Housing Coalition) – August 27th and 28th at the Park City Marriott in Park City. Highlighting all things housing, this annual conference brings together advocates, community leaders and stakeholders. Be part of the conversation on topics like the Senior Housing Needs Report from Kem C. Gardner Institute, Filling out the Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Building with Sustainable Alternative Energy, Opportunity Zones, Ending the Stigma on Mental Health and Housing, and much more!
Advocacy Bootcamp (Action Utah and YWCA Utah) – September 5 – October 3 at the YWCA in Salt Lake City. This 5-part workshop will demystify the political and elections systems and teach Utahns from both sides of the aisle how to embrace advocacy in order to confidently and meaningfully engage the politics that impact their lives and truly be a part of representative government. Learn how to turn your passion into action, starting with the basics of how to understand and navigate government systems, find one’s individual voice and style, and make an action plan in order to gain the skills and the confidence to make a difference in the way that fits best for them. 2019 Annual Nonprofit Conference (Utah Nonprofits Association) – September 26th at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center in West Valley City. UNA’s 2019 Annual Nonprofit Conference: Connect NOW! strengthens, celebrates, and unites Utah’s nonprofit community. Connect NOW! combines nonprofit staff, leaders, board members, and people who just generally love the nonprofit world with practical, proven solutions for the challenges we face each day and offers us new perspectives on our missions, our organizations, and our communities. The conference celebrates the good in all of us by honoring an Outstanding Nonprofit Leader and an Emerging Nonprofit Leader. Come together at the conference to reaffirm personal connections and forge new, edifying relationships and leave with a sense of belonging and a deeper sense of purpose.
Wild West Regional Climate Conference (Citizens’ Climate Lobby) – September 27th – 29th at the CU campus in Boulder, CO. This year’s Wild West Regional Conference theme is “Optimism: Inspiring Innovations and Stories of Success.” We will explore relevant topics in climate change and meaningful climate legislation in the Wild West Region with speakers on agriculture, water, economics, the youth movement and more!
