Three recent mass shootings have left America reeling once again. President Trump and congressional leaders have spoken up to support red flag laws, reviving a push for federal legislation around evidence-based policy that allows a court to order the temporary removal of firearms from a person in crisis threatening harm to themselves or others.
Utah has proposed its own red flag law, carefully developed by a wide range of stakeholders to prevent firearm suicides and other deaths, including mass shootings, while protecting Second Amendment rights.
