University of Utah President Ruth Watkins and Lt. Governor Spencer Cox have launched the 2nd round of the American Dream Ideas Challenge and invite community members to participate!
The 2019 American Dream Ideas Challenge aims to find, fund, and implement innovative ideas that have the potential to increase income and/or decrease expenses by 10% for 10,000 middle class Utahns.
The search committee is seeking interdisciplinary solutions in the areas of housing, education, workforce development, transportation, health care and family support that include a tech component. All submissions will be reviewed and the top 10 ideas will be announced in December and will receive $10,000.
The top 10 finalists will pitch to the local Community Advisory Board in January 2020 to receive an additional $30,000. The top 3 finalist will continue to develop their proposal and will pitch in the national competition for up to $1 million from Schmidt Futures.
The American Dream Ideas Challenge is accepting idea proposals through November 15th!
