Call on Congress to take bipartisan action on climate change

November 12th, 2019|Action of the Week|0 Comments

Today over 800 volunteers will meet with Congress in Washington D.C. as part of a lobby day for our partner, Citizens’ Climate Lobby, to advocate for a bipartisan climate change solution that would reduce emissions by 40% in 12 years, create 21 million jobs, improve health and save lives  — all using free market principles and revenue neutral policy.

The good bill is called the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (H.R. 763) and you can click here to find out more about how it works.

The advocate meetings in D.C. will be more successful if Congressional offices receive lots of calls in support of the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act. That’s where YOU come in!

WHAT YOU CAN DO

  • Call your Members of Congress using CCL’s handy calling tool or contact your two senators and one representative directly using the numbers below – ask senators to support the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act of 2019 when it is reintroduced in the Senate and ask congressional reps to cosponsor H.R. 763 in the House.
  • Done calling? Spread the word and ask others to call too!
