What is the Clear the Air Challenge?
The Clear the Air Challenge is a month long competition that gives you the chance to reduce your vehicle emissions by choosing alternative methods of transportation using TravelWise strategies. By driving less and driving smarter, you will ultimately help improve air quality, reduce traffic congestion and conserve energy in Utah. Nearly 50% of the pollutants trapped during the inversions are caused by transportation emissions. So by simply reducing vehicle trips, we can protect our health, our environment and our quality of life.
Go to the ClearTheAirChallenge.org website for everything you need to register a team, including a startup toolkit, marketing materials like social media graphics, and template emails to send employees or colleagues to start a team. Once you sign up, you can use the online Dashboard or the Commute Tracker app to log all your trips. You can also learn how to share your team’s story to help spread the word.
Thanks to Clear the Air Challenge partners, the Salt Lake Chamber, UCAIR, TravelWise, Penna Powers and many others for creating this great community tool for improving our air quality!
