As of last week, the state Democratic party cancelled caucus meetings, originally scheduled for tomorrow, March 24th. The Utah GOP had already done so. That means that delegates from 2018 are asked to retain their positions for another two years for both parties. However, the Democratic party will allow counties to seek some new delegates. If you still want to become a Democratic delegate in 2020, please check with your county party for details on how you can submit your name for consideration.
Please see updates listed below for the latest information on changes to caucuses and conventions for the two major state parties.
CHANGES AS OF MARCH 23, 2020
Despite changes occurring due to coronavirus, the 2020 Elections will go on, albeit with modifications to protect public health, starting with precinct caucus meetings (CANCELLED for March 24) and party conventions (still scheduled for April 24-25).
