Election Night Fun Kit and other things to do after you’ve voted

November 2nd, 2020|Action of the Week|0 Comments

It’s hard to miss the fact that Election Day is tomorrow. Data across the country is showing record turnout for the 2020 Election. If you haven’t voted yet, make sure to cast your ballot! Mailed ballots must be postmarked by TODAY (note that late delivery to the Post Office will NOT guarantee a Nov 2 postmark!). In-person and drop box voting ends tomorrow night at 8 p.m.

Once you’ve voted, here’s what you can do next:

  • Track your ballot – Track your ballot twice. By Utah law, ballots are processed on receipt but may not be counted until Election Day. First to make sure your ballot was received and secondly after election day to make sure it has been counted. Go to vote.utah.gov and click “Track my ballot or provisional ballot”.
  • Find Election Results – Check in on the latest official counts in Utah using the state election website. Counting will close at the end of the canvass period on November 23.
  • Use our Facebook Frame to GOTV – Help get out the vote by letting others know you voted. Action Utah’s 2020 Election Facebook Frame is a great way to say “I VOTED!”
  • Have some fun!

  • Use our Family Mock Elections Kit to host an election of your own for kids of any age using any of our pre-made three mock elections and pre-made ballots.
  • Share election and engagement stories – Gather as a family to share each member’s earliest or best memories from elections or election nights past. Sharing civic engagement stories models good behavior and sets kids up to develop strong voting and civic engagement habits.
