Faces of Advocacy | Provo
October 15 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Showcasing the personal stories of a variety of advocates at work in our community, Faces of Advocacy celebrates everyday community members taking meaningful action. We share this showcase to help others understand advocacy happens on all levels, for many reasons and in a variety of ways. No matter your political persuasion or personal talents, there is room for all of us to express what we feel is most important.
Outline of the night:
Action Utah presentation: Three steps to get involved at any level of interest
Opening advocacy remarks: Courtney Kendrick, a writer, blogger, community member and advocate
Moderated Panel and Audience Questions
Michelle McCullough, a speaker and trainer on successful principles for business and associations. She believes in developing youth leadership and participates regularly in supporting Girls State.
Krisanne Hastings Knudsen, an art educator, writer, and local advocate. She seeks for ways to have a voice and educate not only herself but also those around her by hosting cottage meetings and also creating a service-driven book club.
Sydney Ward, a student and advocate. She is passionate about students having a voice and has worked to create mock elections and voter drives in her local high school.
