At Action Utah we work with legislators from both sides of the aisle, along with dozens of advocacy organizations, agencies, institutions, coalitions and businesses. We rely on good long-term relationships to be effective, and we are grateful for all the wonderful people we work with every day. Here’s what they have to say about us:

“It’s been a real pleasure to work with Action Utah. They are smart. They don’t make the agenda about them, they make the agenda about the issue. They’re in it for the long haul, and I respect that and so do other people.” Rep. Becky Edwards (R-North Salt Lake)

“It’s a good organization and you ought to support it.” Rep. Tim Quinn (R-Heber)

“Action Utah reduces polarization to ensure moderate and effective decision-making in all levels of government. I am excited about the growing numbers of Action Utah members participating and taking leadership roles in Utah politics!” Pat Jones, former state senator, CEO of Women’s Leadership Institute

“A breath of fresh air on Capitol Hill.” Tara Rollins, Executive Director of the Utah Housing Coalition

“They do their homework on issues, ask the right questions, follow the lead taken by legislative sponsors and policy experts, and ensure that their members contribute strategically to efforts around the issues they care about.” Erin Jemison, Director of Public Policy, YWCA

“From environmental to education, to advocating for equal business opportunities, to issues involving economic and social justice issues, I have found that Action Utah represents many people who have struggled to find a group they feel represents their values and interests. Action Utah has impressed me with its ability to get people off the sidelines and onto the field where the action is.” Rep. Brian King, House Minority Leader (D-Salt Lake)

“Grassroots organizing at its best.” Rep. Rebecca Chavez Houck (D-Salt Lake)

“I’ve found Action Utah and their members to be very level-headed citizens like you and me just wanting to be engaged in the political process and wanting to feel like they have a voice. It’s terrific!” Rep. Steve Handy (R-Layton)

“Action Utah is truly making a difference at the Capitol. They’re working on important issues that make a difference for our state. They have incredible volunteers who are professionals and really know their issues well.” Rep. Patrice Arent (D-Millcreek)

“Their unique ability to engage community members in the political process, and to make that political process accessible to all, makes Action Utah a valuable organization in Utah.” Marina Lowe, Legislative and Policy Counsel, ACLU of Utah
